What kind of cat is solid black with black stripes?

We got a kitten from my brother that is solid black with black stripes. Her mother is a tabby and we think her father is the same one has our other black cat. She also has longer hair.|||If the cat is black and the stripes are black... how do you know there are stripes on the cat? It is a domestic medium coat cat. She sounds lovely.|||If a cat is solid black with black stripes - how do you see the stripes? All domestic cats are inherently tabby so if this is a black cat and you can see faint black striping it's referred to as "ghost" tabby markings.

As for breed odds are it's no particular breed - just like over 97% of the cats on this planet.

Please ask your brother to get his cat spayed. These kittens he allowed his cat to have means that many more cats and kittens put to death at a shelter since they took homes from them.|||I have the same type of cat! She's lovely. Its cool huh? The light black coat with darker strips... I have no idea about the breed, but the mother of my kitten is a calico, and the father is a tux. So aha got no idea. Enjoy your cutie!|||She is probably a mixed breed. But black and white cats are called tuxedo cats because they look like they are wearing a tuxedo.|||Most cats are of so many mixed breeds you really can't pin it down unless you have papers verifying a pure breed. Most are just classified as an American short hair or American long (or wire) hair.|||Shes mixed :)
