Black.....?

a shade or colour? Some of my friends think it is a colour, others think it's a shade.|||black is actually the absence of color. no color contains black although every color contains white. thus white is the presence of every color, but neither are colors as themselves.|||It is a shade.|||black is black|||black is the absence of color|||Isn't it the lack of colour that makes black black? By the way, I notice your spelling of colour. Where are you from?|||It's all of the colors mixed together.|||black is a shade not a colour.|||Black is not a color at all.

Black is the shade of objects that do not reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum.|||Black is not the colors mixed together!!

who the heck answers questions wrong?|||If you accept that zero is a number than black is a color.

Black is the absence of any electromagnetic radiation in the visible range, where the different frequencies of radiated energy are seen by us as different colors ranging from red to violet.

Black is also the "zero point" of shades, as shade "as in different shades of gray" determines the relative amount of light perceived at a particular frequency (or in case of gray, the combination of all frequencies).

It is like being at the corner of Hollywood %26amp; Vine - you are on both streats.
