How can I go from white skin to black skin with make-up for costume?

For a costume I want to make my skin look black. I have white skin and am wondering what type of make up or paint or whatever I need to make it look like I really have black skin. What type of make up was used on that one show "Black. White" where a white family and black family switched races by make up? This is the type of effect I am looking for. Thanks for any help!|||There are several shades of black used on stage. Max Factor is what was used in a production I served in. (Finian's Rainbow)

It does not wash off easily, and true blacks not involved in the "show" might well find it patronizing and be offended.|||look

this way i used to do it when i was acting at my school (lol)

so get the darkest foundation and put dark brown or black eyeshadow

and enjoy............

i wish that i helped

bye

:D

How does the colors black and pink in your room affect your mood?

I want the colours black and pink in my room. Some people say it effects you mood.

Does black and pink?

and if it does what mood does it put you in?|||I recently saw a pink and black room in a magazine. It looked very classy and sexy. I would def. use a lighter pink and make sure you have black furniture or else it will all clash. Reminds me of Victoria's Secret.|||black makes me feel more less active were as brighter colours like pink would make me feel more vibrunt and urge me to do more :)

Will black people start to grow natural curly hair to show their connection with Africa?

Now that they are giving themselves African names I suppose the next step should be to stop straightening their hair - which they are doing to look more white. I'm not saying it's good or bad, I was just thinking it would logically be the next step, so I'm wondering whether black people have already started doing it.|||Yes they straighten their hair I don't blame them...|||The reason behind the "relaxing" of hair, which if you ignorance permitted you to consider, is much less socially sensitive or as sardonically oppressive as you assume. Natural afros are difficult to maintain. That is the most basic reason behind hair straightening. I wouldn't see why black individuals would need to go out of their way to show their natural connection to Africa in a society that is very aware of the origins of the black Westerner and is very quick to remind the black community, as you so clearly do. Use your common sense and think some things through before publishing such drone like nonsense|||Funny statement. Black people in Africa straighten their hair too, particularly in countries where there's a strong western / American influence. I think it's also because of this belief that if your hair will grow better if it's straightened.

But ultimately it's really more of a lifestyle choice. Some people, the brainwashed ones, do it for the wrong reasons and some people do it because they find it easier or whatever. It's no different from a white person dying their hair; it's a lifestyle choice. The focus should be on having HEALTHY hair. Which can be hard if you're relaxed.

And yeh, I think going natural doesn't really show a connection to Africa. It seems more of an acceptance of who you really are: curly hair and all.|||I know a lot of Black women with natural hair. Theres even one girl at my school who is 100% natural with a huge afro, and she wears really cute clothes too and is pretty, so she's like a fashion icon on a lower level, lol. For me, my hair is weird, its wavy, but kind of afro-y... but not... and it has a bunch of textures, so its better that I straghten it, and then wave it or something. I prefer wavy hair or curly hair like most Black women have. Straight hair is borning.|||Women style their hair. White women with straight hair curl their hair. Black Women with curly hair straighten their hair. No one is trying to emulate the other. Its style. Now, I wear my hair natural for the most part unless I want a change. You must not get out much because I see a lot of black women keeping it real. I wear my hair natural not because I want a connection to my African roots, hair or an African name won't do that for me. I wear it because it is me, a part of my image, my crowning glory.|||I straighten my hair but its never to look white. I just like the look on me. I love my skin tone and would wish to be nothing but who I am. Straightening my hair has nothing to do with be white seeing as white ppl also have to use blow dryer and/or flat irons to straighten their hair too.

Get your facts straight before you come to us with such ridiculous claims.|||That is pesonal preference idiot. Also not all Black people are African based. There is from USA..

American

Latino

Carriban islander

European

African

Indian

And a couple of other places too. Not all people who are dark skinned, think the same way, are is the same people.|||They don't need to start, whereas, they already have natural kinky, wire-like, hair. Many shave their heads in attempt to appear macho.|||It's not always about wanting to look more white or more black...some people just prefer it certain ways the same as those from other races. And some people wear it natural only because it's a lot healthier than straightening in repeatedly.|||Im black my hair is naturally curly.

most black people i know dont try and act white, they really dont care what anyone thinks, but they do keep there hair cut low but they do not do perms|||I always leave my hair curly because its prettier that way...not all African straighten their hair for that reason anyway, maybe they just want a new look like anyone else.|||Asians and native Americans have straighter hair than white people you... asinine you....|||GO EAT SOME MAYONNAISE!|||Everybody wants to be white

How do you explain a hetero black woman, has female black friends, but prefers to date outside of her race?

She LOVES black women, but does not really like black men on average...

Does she have issues or is there any way to justify it?|||maybe i'm being paranoid but i hope you are talking about or referring to me. i don't know if you answered one of my Q's earlier but somebody deleted 8 of 10 answers I had. It wasn't me.

But to answer this Q, just because she dates "out" of her race doesn't mean she "only" dates white guys or "doesn't" date black guys. It just means she dates out. And to justify it, well, why would an adult need to "justify" who she dates to other aduts who are strangers:) They aren't her parents, you know:)|||It's just her preference.|||she has a preference|||No she doesn't have any problem. I seriously don't understand why people make such a big deal out of this topic.|||preference...|||what is there to explain

She likes white guys

It would be self-hate if she hated black girls too

Actually it would not be, because what if black girls were mean to her|||maybe that's her preference.|||Everyone has their own preference, there are some women who happen to think that men outside of their race are superior to their own. That is a closed minded way of thinking, but what can you do? It is what it is an there is somebody for everybody.

The outfit itself is not ghetto or gangster.|||not gangster...|||....its definitley not|||maybe wear a white tank next time|||no way ganster what so ever it is more like a workout outfit|||not gangstah at all
