Black women's facial features are not always seen as desirable. It is not the result of conditioning to dislike poor people and minorities, because latinas are poor minorities and everybody thinks they are hot. Black men are also often seen as very attractive. It is not racist to say this about black women, it is only an unfortunate reality. Luckily, most women of every race are not that attractive, so there is no reason to feel bad.|||In psych class we studied a theory that people base their perceptions of beauty on what they have seen with their own eyes. Meaning, a person takes all of the faces that they have seen and averages them together; the most average face is the most beautiful.
One can assume therefore, the more types of "different" beauty that people are able to come into contact with, the more their idea of beauty expands.
Black women are underrepresented in the media. This is a fact. As a journalism student, I have taken classes on how ads, television shows, and news reports don't cover all of the bases. It's a shame, but women and people in general, do base their perceptions of beauty on these.
What I don't understand, is how in such a diverse country as ours there can still be such a limited perception of beauty. Chock it up to the fact that a lot of these people are small-minded and haven't escaped much from their social circles (maybe they haven't even traveled much geographically). They're not used to people that are different from them, and therefore, they won't like them. Their loss.|||it is seen as taboo to find black women attractive

What kind of black or green tea to use when making pearl milk tea?
Hi, thanks for taking the time. I'd just like to know what brands of black tea or jasmine green tea is strong enough because i use Lipton and it's no where near strong enough. Does the black tea need to be made with tea leaves or something similar? Oh and this is a secondary question that I'm just curious about; how do the pearl milk tea shops make such strong tea in such a big quantity? That must cost a lot of money. if you don't have an asian supermarket near you, look for an indian supermarket. indian supermarkets should have one of the ctc teas like brooke bond red label, or lipton yellow label. ctc ("crush tear curl") teas are dirt cheap, but delivery 5x the flavor, it's like the crack of the tea world, it's the tea that chai masala is made from.
the last case scenario is to look at your gourmet market, or at least whole foods market. and look for yorkshire tea, it will be expensive, but the tea bags are large and make a very strong and tasty tea.

So im just wondering what colors dont clash with black... Like i own about 40 pairs of black pants and will normally just wear a black shirt with it or a white shirt with a sweater or something :/ but what color shirts dont clash with black pants?|||I would say pretty much any color. Can I dye black twill pants to cover up the bleach stains?
I have bleach stains on two of my cotton twill pants. Both are all black. Will black Rit Dye cover up the bleach spots? The spots are golden in color. And can I dye two pants and a sweater in one load?|||OMG I hate it when that happens----go get a black "laundry marker" (Sharpie--must say laundry marker!), hit the bleach stains with that, THEN get MUCHO BLACK RIT DYE (more than the bottle/box says) and then do the full dye-job---add the salt, hot water, etc. and make sure you watch the washing machine timer so it can go DOUBLE the time for dye-ing!

What wall color goes with black bedding and black curtains?
I am repainting my bedroom. I have black curtains and black comforter and sheets on my bed. I was just wondering what a good wall color would be. I was thinking sea foam green, but I have no idea. Please help!|||Depending on your style and the look you're trying to acheive you could go in many directions. Keeping it simple,you could go taupe walls and have an accent color like red. Or if you are more daring you could even go deep red with an accent color like gold or pink with a green accent. I would have fun with it. What are the black fragments that appeared after hydrochloric acid was added to zinc in a test tube?
We did a lab in chemistry class today and one of the steps included adding hydrochloric acid to a piece of zinc in a test tube. There were some black fragments at the bottom of the test tube after the reaction occurred (we also held an ember to the mouth of the tube and it began smoking too). So what are those black pieces exactly...? Thanks ^_^.|||If your zinc and hydrochloric acid were reasonably pure there shouldn't be any black fragments left over when the reaction is complete.

How do you solve a black and white photocopy problem with my Epson DX4050 printer?
I have an epson DX4050. I currently have a full blank ink cartridge but have one empty colour catridge and 2 other colour catridges which are running low. I want to photocopy a peice of document in black and white only but every time I press the "Start B %26amp; W" (start black and white) button on my printer, nothing happens. What do I need to do to be able to photocopy my documents in black and white.|||If your printer is displaying an error because of the out of ink cartridge, then you're going to have to replace it before the printer will do anything. This is a design of the printer for the benefit of the manufacturer so that you buy more ink. This is where they make their money so they disable the printer if any ink is out, even if you're not going to use that color, to force you to buy more ink before it will work again.

I cleaned the throttle body of my car with carb cleaner not knowing the adverse effects it would have on the black coating on the back of the throttle body. I want to replace the black coating so my car will idle correctly. Does anyone know what that coating is made out of?

What is the best detergent for keeping black clothes black?
I've tried a few detergents for my black clothes, but i keep getting smudges or the fabric dulls. I follow the washing instructions.What is the best detergent for keeping black clothes black?|||I use Cheer Dark laundry detergent in cold water. It seems to work pretty good. I also don't dry my clothes on high heat. Good luck.|||wash inside out with a cup of white vinegar to your wash..this sets any dark colours.|||woolite /cheer and make sure they get a good rinsing|||best thing is to make sure you wash, dry and iron items inside out|||Woolite|||Three cheers for CHEER dark!|||Before you run your dark clothes through the wash after wearing them for the first time throw them in the washing machine rinse cycle on cold with 2 C of vinegar. The vinegar helps to set the dye in your clothes making it more difficult to wash out.
I use liquid All Free and Clear on my black clothing, though I have heard some great things about Cheer Dark (my family is allergic to it). We then run Downey Extra Care through the rinse.
A tip: when you're buying clothes, if you can, look for clothes that are yarn dyed not cloth dyed. I use liquid All Free and Clear on my black clothing, though I have heard some great things about Cheer Dark (my family is allergic to it). We then run Downey Extra Care through the rinse.

What would have made my black goldfish turn silver?
I got 2 black goldfish at the same time. I think they are Moors, but i'm not certain.
The point is that they were both black - Now the male one is still black and the female has started to lose its colour.

What could cause black smokey walls and ceilings in a house?
I was wondering if what cause black/grey smokey walls in a house? The walls look dirty but not like there has been a fire and no sign of a fire in the home at all. It's a light black color dusted on the walls and ceilings. There is a fire place but it's propane unless they maybe used it as a regular one at one time...? Could this be from a smoker? We are trying to figure it out but can't get the records on the house because it's a foreclosure.|||You ARE going to have a home inspection, right?

How to remove black sharpie marker from DVD disk without damaging the plastic?
I wrote a movie title with black sharpie on a blank DVD disk and need to remove it. What is the best way to remove the black sharpie marker without dissolving the plastic or scratching it. The marker is on the label side but there's no manufacturer label, just the blank DVD plastic. Please only offer suggestions of what has actually worked for you in the past not something you think might work. Thank you very much.|||You can remove the Sharpie with Krud Kutter Graffiti Remover. And yes, it has worked for me. It removed permanent magic marker from porous plastic for me...the marker just wiped right off like melted butter.

What is this black liquid dripping from elevator ceiling?
I noticed at there is a this oil-like (black/brown) substance dripping from the little opening at the ceiling of my apartment buildings elevator. Should I be worried? Is this black mold or something?|||Most likely it is just dirty lubricant. How do Americans who are black feel about the current gay movement equating being gay to being black?
Just curious, because gays say they are born this way. My issue is here; gay people still had to make a choice to participate in "gay" acts. This is similar to drug addicts. They feel they are born that way, so should we make smoking crack suitable for public venues, like at church or the mall?
Americans who are black actually were born black, and were treated terribly by our government for a while because of that, not because of a decision they made. How are these two things the same?|||I'm gay, black, and a woman.
I don't agree that being black and being gay are the same, but just similar in the ways where both have been discriminated against, both have had the bible used against them, and both have had it where they couldn't be with and marry to the person they loved.

Why are there so many black cats at the shelter?
I'm not trying to come across as superstitious, because I'm not. I was visiting the shelter today in search of a potential companion kitty for my 7 month old female, and I was intrigued by how greatly black cats outnumbered any other color pattern. Is there anything aside from silly superstitions that make them undesirable? I'm very attempted to pick a black one simply because everyone else seems to gravitate toward the other colors. There are definitely enough black ones with a variety of personalities to choose from.|||Black is very common. There are something like 4 black cats born for every other cat color there is. I don't remember where I saw the statistic, and I might have a brain fart, but it's a high percentage of black to "non-black" cats.|||I have definitely noticed this pattern as well. In fact, shelters often do special promotions to get people to pay more attention to the black kitties.

The word "black" is associated with dirty and gloomy and scary. What is the black peppery stuff I find falling off my tomato plant?
It looks like black crumbs or pepper. Something has been munching on my sweet 100 plant but overall the plant is happy and producing. Are these black things the result of a bug eating my plant and excreting? What can it be? I find some of it on the plant leaves sometimes and just shake it off. Sometimes it's just all over the walkway next to the plant. When I inspect the plant, I only see a few spiders which I leave there, hoping it will eat the other bugs.|||hey---sounds like,,, tomato horn worm ,,,droppings, they are worms that eat the leaves, bigger the droppings---the bigger the worm----, they start out as little clusters of white eggs, on bottom of leaves,,when 1 st hatched they are bout size of pencil lead,,,can get up to 1 1/2 inches long,,and big as a pencil,,, you 'll have to look on bottom of leaves to find them,,, a good dusting of Sevin Dust 5 %,,,bout once a week will cure the problem,,,look on directions to make sure the kind you buy will control ---tomato horn worm---- hey when you find one ,,,you'll see why they are called horned,,,|||What it sounds like is called "early Blight" which is usually caused by water standing on the leaves. I am going to post a link to a trusted website that deals only with tomato's and though you kinda have to decide which area of the plant to look for, it really gives detailed photos of problematic things that commonly goes wrong and how to solve them.
As a avid gardener myself I recommend cutting the older %26amp; bigger "sucker leaves" off as they only drain the vine from needed nutrients needed for the fruit production and it also helps in minimizing possible problems. I learned it only takes just a very few leaves to produce better quality tomato's and less problems.

How to prepare a scanned black and white drawing for Adobe Photoshop CS3?
If I need to do intense colouring and cell shading to a picture I drew with dark pencils and black pen...How do I prepare the picture once its in the program. Even if I delete the background for the black to remain, there are still some white blocks. Ive tried adjusting the level to make the dark even darker but that adds to many rough edges...is there no effective way to get rid of the white dots around the black edges?|||If you scan at 300 dpi in GREYSCALE you should be ok. If you're scanning as black and white document/lineart you have to be at least 600 dpi scanned. What I DO is scan everything at 300 dpi for interior art, covers and ads at 600 dpi greyscale. once in photoshop, i go to image%26gt;adjust%26gt;levels . i raise the black and grey ones first, then raise the white level zoomed in paying attn that i don't lose details i mean to emphasize.~ I think maybe you need to color in layers/ make the lineart layer 'multiply' then raise it above your colouring! ~this may omit your white dot prob.~ don't color on a lineart layer~ if you wish to knock out and color energy lines or whatnot, magic wand the line, make a new layer above the lineart and color fill it on that one....|||Well usually when I draw a picture, I go back and re-outline the entire thing. It's really a trivial process but the finished work comes out a lot cleaner. You can use the pen tool if you wanted to do that. If not, I usually just go in with the eraser and manually erase the things that make the lines look jaggedy or blurry.|||Since you've deleted the white background, have you looked at Layer %26gt; Matting? Try Defringe or Remove White Matte.

What would cause the black rubber door gaskets of dishwashers to break down, leaving black residue everywhere?
After about 3 years, the gaskets of my Asko dishwasher get gummy, resulting in the deposit of black gunk particularly on plastics, even plastic parts of the dishwasher. Changing the detergents does not seem to make any difference. I had the same problem with similar black gaskets on a Bosch dishwasher! Has anyone else experienced this problem?|||The temp of water as well as chlorine in water. Why are black spots appearing on my snake?
He's a orange/red corn snake that naturally has absolutely no black on him. But within the last month his scales in certain places have looked withered and turned black like they're dirty or something. I've tried to clean them, but he won't hold still, and they won't wash off.

What color accessories would go with black and white shower curtain?
We're about to move into a new place and I've decided to decorated my husband's bathroom a black and white look. I just bought a vinyl shower curtain that's a soft white and has blocked black and gray boxes on it. It's really nice and trendy. But I don't know if I should go with black rugs and red bathroom accessories or just black rugs and accessories. I would like a touch of red in the bathroom but I don't know where to add it. I know how to decorate when I already have the items but I don't know how to pull different colors together to create a dramatic effect. Any advice would be appreciated it!!!!|||Red. Absolutely red. I've seen it done. It looks great. But not too much red. The towels and maybe a few accessories. I'd go with a black rug.|||CHROME|||Try Peir 1 Imports, the store. They usually hae great trendy items for decorating. Anyting cubey- For the rug I picture a fluffy black one...good luck and remember to have fun. I would go with black %26amp; silver accessories. if you must add red , how about using decorative curtain shower hooks in red or a picture with a splash of red. An alernative to add color with a more masculine feel would be adding blue (more of a grey blue rather than a bright blue).|||Buy a framed piece of art (poster, photograph, etc) to put in the bathroom %26amp; pull a bright color from that. Just use it in a few places though. Maybe just hand towels, or a small sculpture.|||red definitely|||With black %26amp; white I'd go with red, hot pink or aqua. If you want red, I'd go with a red rug %26amp; towels and black or grey accessories. Otherwise,I 'd go with black rug %26amp; turquoise or aqua accessories. (Forget the hot pink, nice for us gals, but I just re-read that it's your hubby's bathroom, so I'm guessing he wouldn't go for the hot pink!)|||Since you want a trendy and put together look, I think a nice bright red will complement the black and white perfectly. You said you want just a touch of red, so why not add red shower curtain hooks? Red knobs and slide pulls on any drawers and closets would accent nicely. The big stuff you can do with the black and white colors, because in this case, they create the background by which the red will show up in a neat way. Little details in red are definitely the way to go, especially if you have a nice print on the wall that combines all the colors in the room. Be creative and have fun with it!

I don't want to know that the black rat spread the plague or that one is domesticated or one is cuter. How to pass a black light test for urine?
I live in an apartment that does black light tests. On our own inspection we saw some interesting things and are assuming it it is urine from our potty training daughter. We have cleaned the area with a bunch of urine removal products but the area is still showing up on black light tests. They are much lighter, can not be seen by normal light and have no smell.
Has any one ever cleaned up urine and then black lighted the areas to see the area clean?

I've never been to a black Friday sale at these retailers and I would like to know how these things work such as: what time should I get there? (for electronics) is 1-2am okay? How do I make black eyeshadow actually go on black instead of a gray color?
It seems like everytime I put on black eyeshadow to do a smokey look, it doesn't go on black- it goes on like a dark gray color. I use foundation under it as a sort of primer yet it still isn't anywhere near dark enough.|||well first try using a real/better primer everyone loves primer potion but if that's not your thing you can try shadow insurance or a paint pot or something cheaper next change to a better brand of eyeshadow-one that has better quality therefor better pigmentation. nyx actually has a very pigmented matte black eyeshadow :) you could also try foiling wwhich is applying it "wet" which is spritzing the product with a mixing medium or something such as fix+ (mac) :)|||Getting an eyeshadow base like Urban Decay Primer Potion (Also known as UDPP) makes eyeshadow colors bolder, as well as longer lasting and a lot less likely to crease. Also, making it wet (paste like) will make any makeup color last longer. You can use water, something that's meant for getting eyeshadow's wet, or even Visine. (I use Visine.)
If you decide to go with using eyeshadow, make sure you don't put the liquid onto the eyeshadow, instead use a couple of drops and then wet your brush, you want it almost a pasty consistency.|||you most likely didnt get a good color eyeshadow..
how ever.. i would recommend putting a primer on first and then use a wet brush to apply it often goes on darker...

how ever.. i would recommend putting a primer on first and then use a wet brush to apply it often goes on darker...
i have black eye shadow from sephora which was bare essentials brand i believe and its the DEAL... i would totally recommend..
also i like the stuff on elf (eyes lips face). because like almosteverything is $1... instead of the above mentioned $17 eye shadow|||I had exactly the same problem until I bought Yves St Laurent eye shadow. It's black, without shimmer. I put a primer first, a real one (Benefit): it stays all day long and it's perfect. The only problem is the price, it's expensive but for me it's worth it. I was all scene once, and I bought that kind and DANNG, it was hella dark! so I would suggest that.|||try a cream eyeshadow as a base 1st or apply some eyeliner 1st then the black eyeshadow over it =]|||get it wet or get a better quality black eyeshadow.|||put grey eyeliner on underneath it. (:|||try applying it wet. and then put a coat [for lack of better terms] of it dry right on top of it.|||maybe the eyeshadow you have is cheap,try another brand
