Can a black couch and espresso ottoman be used in the same room?

Looking at new furniture for the living room. The couch I want is black leather (the light brown option is hideous). However the storage ottoman and matching stool set only comes in espresso. Customer reviews say the ottoman set is so dark brown it is almost brown.

Would the black and espresso clash? Or blend nicely?|||Brown and black can look quite tasteful, if you have other items in the room to complement those colours, perhaps cushions and brown and black and cream rug looks stunning, put a vibrant colour in the room also, perhaps a vivid red vase/ornament or maybe your favourite colour A large mirror, heavy curtains with any or all the room colours in them with tie backs, will finish the look off nicely.|||It depends on what other colors you have in the room, and what "style" you're going for. They CAN work together because really they are both neutral colors, but you'd need to have something to tie the 2 colors together. Like an area rug with both colors in the pattern, or throw pillows, or even another piece of furniture that's upholstered in a print of some kind with both colors in it.|||Clash. Black and brown don't tend to go together well, and it's even worse that the espresso is really dark. The fact that they are close in colour but not exactly the same will make it seem like they are mismatched.

You are better off choosing a different ottoman completely in a complimentary colour, maybe to match the accent cusions. I was just looking at ottomans today here: http://www.vcf.com/webapp/wcs/stores/ser鈥?/a> they also sell them at home decorators and overstock.com|||If it were a lighter color it would work ....but almost.... is going to give you a nightmare decorating. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_PkJcV-qpvIQ/TF鈥?/a>

Keep Shopping!!|||How about you get throw cushions the same colour as the ottoman and put them on the black couch to make a contrast? A fabric match might be easier to find.
