For a costume I want to make my skin look black. I have white skin and am wondering what type of make up or paint or whatever I need to make it look like I really have black skin. What type of make up was used on that one show "Black. White" where a white family and black family switched races by make up? This is the type of effect I am looking for. How does the colors black and pink in your room affect your mood?
I want the colours black and pink in my room. Some people say it effects you mood.

I would def. use a lighter pink and make sure you have black furniture or else it will all clash. Will black people start to grow natural curly hair to show their connection with Africa?
Now that they are giving themselves African names I suppose the next step should be to stop straightening their hair - which they are doing to look more white. I'm not saying it's good or bad, I was just thinking it would logically be the next step, so I'm wondering whether black people have already started doing it.|||Yes they straighten their hair I don't blame them...|||The reason behind the "relaxing" of hair, which if you ignorance permitted you to consider, is much less socially sensitive or as sardonically oppressive as you assume. Natural afros are difficult to maintain. That is the most basic reason behind hair straightening. I wouldn't see why black individuals would need to go out of their way to show their natural connection to Africa in a society that is very aware of the origins of the black Westerner and is very quick to remind the black community, as you so clearly do. Use your common sense and think some things through before publishing such drone like nonsense|||Funny statement. Black people in Africa straighten their hair too, particularly in countries where there's a strong western / American influence. I think it's also because of this belief that if your hair will grow better if it's straightened.
But ultimately it's really more of a lifestyle choice. Some people, the brainwashed ones, do it for the wrong reasons and some people do it because they find it easier or whatever. It's no different from a white person dying their hair; it's a lifestyle choice. The focus should be on having HEALTHY hair. Which can be hard if you're relaxed.
And yeh, I think going natural doesn't really show a connection to Africa. It seems more of an acceptance of who you really are: curly hair and all.|||I know a lot of Black women with natural hair. How to lighten naturally black hair without bleach?
I have natural black hair, like dark and never bleached before or treated, I like to lighten some of my hair to like a brownish colour. Is there a way to lighten my black hair with out the use of chemicals? (mainly bleach) I mean a natural way of lightening it.

How to permanently remove black circles around eyes quickly?
I have pretty visible dark black circles around my eyes and I want to get rid of them but I have 2 questions.
1) How can I permanently get rid of these dark black circles around my eyes?

How do you get black algae off the fish tank?
I tried my trusty algae scrubby, and it doesn't work.

I've never had black algae before... I've never HEARD of black algae before.
What causes it?|||Black algae is just a different kind of hair algae... and it's considerably more persistent. If it's on the glass, try using an old credit card, razor blade, or ice scraper to remove it, and then siphon it out. If it is on a decoration, remove it and do an overnight bleach soak. Let the decorations dry for at least 24 hours so the bleach can dissipate (the chlorine in NaClO will diffuse into chlorine gas in the air). To prevent it, you'll need to keep your nitrates and phosphates down with water changes (if there are nitrates and phosphates in your tap water, use RO water), and consider reducing your lighting (especially if you don't have live plants). Consdier getting some fast growing plants like Water Sprite and Hornwort to at least slow (if not halt) its growth, as they will quickly outcompete it for nutrients.
If you have a fairly large tank, you could try Siamese Algae Eaters, but I have found mine to much prefer any frozen food I give it (it is particularly fond of brine shrimp). Also, I have heard recommendations of adding Flourish Excel, but this is only applicable if you have live plants. The carbon source will allow the plants to use nutrients more efficiently, again, outcompeting the algae.
EDIT: Snails won't touch the stuff, nor will they do anything for other kinds of hair algae. You could try turing off anything that creates current in your tank, then squirting 5 mL of hydrogen peroxide directly onto the afflicted areas (no more than a couple of 5 mL doses per 10 gallons every couple of days), but this is very dangerous for fish if they swim through the peroxide cloud.
EDIT 2: While some fish may mouth it (in search of real food), Clowns and Catfish will definitely not eat it (intentionally)... Silver Dollars might pick at it a bit, but they certainly won't be an effective means of controlling it.|||i have it growing on my decorations and i think it looks cool but i have alot of current in my tank so it sways and adds character to my tank, as for it growing on the glass use a car ice scraper, works for me. also i see my clown loaches, silver dollar, and my little catfish nibbling at it all the time so its probably good.|||to help with that, clean it off first, then change the water,,if anything,,never leave the light on, only during feeding, and maybe a hour or so after that...|||get some snails... i think they will work..

How do I make a picture black and white with color in it?
If you look on myspace, you can see lots of pictures that are black and white. There are also pictures that are black and white with a shirt or their eyes in color instead of being in black and white. How in the world do you do that?|||Here is the easiest way I know how to do it.
In Photoshop:
1.Import your color image
2. Make a duplicate background layer
3. Turn the layer to black and white (or grayscale)
4. Use the eraser tool and erase the parts you want to be in color
That's it!|||1. Open photo (using photo editing software such as Photoshop)
2. Duplicate background layer
3. Desaturate top layer into B%26amp;W
4. Erase top layer (eraser tool) to show the lower layer
If you want to use different colors continue steps below -
5. Select background layer
6. Open up Hue / Saturation
7. Choose colorize
8. Play with sliders to produce the color you want.|||in photoshop use the polygonal lasso tool (there are other tools but that's my persaonal fav) to select the objects you want to remain colored. if there's more than one object hold shift to add to the selection. repeat until all desired parts are selected. then click select%26gt;select inverse. this selects everything but the objects you want to remain colored. next click image%26gt;adjustments%26gt;hue/saturation and drag the saturation slider all the way down to -100. and boom! you have your image.

Can you paint over black urethane primer and make it shiny?
You know how primer goes on a car first then the real (good) paint goes on. Well if black urethane primer is called primer then can you put a gloss on it or what ever to make it a nice black.|||Since your painting it black already and not a light color it will be very nice and glossy. You will be very pleased with the darkness and glassy appearance.|||you would have to put on several clear coats for it to look good, but it will never look glossy...
What is an all black duck/goose with red eyes?
I live in Oregon, and I have seen this kind of duck twice now. It is small/medium sized, with a narrow bill (that comes to a pointed curve). How do I get rid of black gunk in my drains?
In all my drains in my house, there is this black slime nastiness accumulating on the inside. Is it mildew? I scrub the black off the inside of the drain plugs with a toothbrush and it comes up. Two weeks later when I go to clean it again, more black has 'grown' in. It also forms on the drain holes in my shower. My house is only 4 years old. Unfortunately, I cannot remove my drain plugs from my sink, at least I don't know how.|||There is nothing you can do about the black slime. I forget what it is called (has a fancy scientific name) but it is basically a fairly safe bacterial slurry. It feeds off of some of the ingredients in soap and organic matter. If you ever open up a pump pit that pumps strictly laundry water there are usually massive amounts of the stuff. Hard to wash off skin too. May not have to embrace it but living with it you will have to do.|||I use Bam Bathroom Cleaner,it not only cleans tubs,sinks,and tolilets,but you can also pour it down the drains and it keeps them clean and unclogged.|||Use a bottle brush.

It would be easy to say this is just breaking barriers. But its not that simple.
In my community i don't notice many black women and white men dating. However every so often I come accross a couple of a white woman and a black man.
In fact, very often, its the most notorious guy in the neighbourhood that has a white girlfriend.
Why ?
Why is a relation of a white woman and a black man, more common than vice versa ?|||Black man/white woman is more common for a lot of reasons:
-Black men are probably the most aggressive I've seen as far as pursuing who they are interested in, white women probably second. Black women are among the least aggressive, and part of that is just being socialized as women that men should approach women. I see a lot of black women interested in men, including white guys, but they insist the guy has to come to them. Less white women do this, and this has largely become more of a cultural difference than a gender difference. With white men not being as aggressive as black men or white women, combined with the extra racial issues when a white guy is interested in a black woman (not even just racism, but more like "whoa, how do I approach a black woman??" or "I heard black women only like black men...I'll probably get rejected"), that leaves a lot of black women waiting forever and ever for an approach that is not forthcoming
-Like some others have suggested, black men view white women as a prize and a step up in society. Black women don't view white men quite the same way, usually. You say the most "notorious" guy usually has a white girlfriend. With other black guys, you might see them in interracial relationships, but it seems less likely just because--and this might seem offensive, but--the average white woman cares about money in a man a little too much to be dating guys, especially a black one, who doesn't have much and because black guys with less money tend to be in predominantly black environments (making it more likely he'll get with a black female) more than black guys with money.
If you don't believe me, sit and take account of black male celebrities (including athletes) who have non-black girlfriends or wives and ones who actually have a black woman. And even if a black guy starts out with a black woman, if he has money or once he gets it, you can bet he'll either leave for a non-black woman or he's going to have an affair with one (or more). White girls are more often taught growing up to find someone "who can take care of them." Black women are not taught that, on average.

In terms of history, when we hear about all the bad things that happen, black women notice it's usually a white man behind it...including things like slavery and raping black female workers. As far as values...very hard to explain, but one thing is that men have always emphasized (lighter) skin color in preferencing people; women do it less, it seems, and look at more practical things in mates. Discrimination--women tend to want someone whom they feel can relate to them and understand them. The average black female doesn't feel white men can do that because there is a huge privilege/life experiences gap there. The gap is smaller between black men and white women--both experience discrimination to the point where it's the norm in their lives, so white women can empathize with and somewhat compare to black men.|||Black men think of it as a power thing ... they gonna get themselves a white girl . Usually they wind up with a red headed overweight girl they drive around town with in their cutlass supreme, but that's beside the point.

How do I keep markers from smudging black pen?
One of my favorite art mediums is my Prismacolor and Copic markers. I use an expensive black ballpoint pen to do my outlines, and then the markers to color in - but often times when I do this, the marker smudges the pen and makes ugly black marks. This happens with every black pen I've tried, including a Prismacolor liner, a finepoint sharpie, a black gel pen, and others. Is there any way to stop this smudging?|||Choosing the right kind of paper will go a long way. Most art supply stores will sell marker paper meant to cut down of inks bleeding together.|||A trick I used to use was to do the black outlines in washable, or water soluable pens. The solvent based markers would ignore the water color ink as if it weren't there.|||i suggest making a copy from a lazer printer,
then color the copy.

Go get some CLR, It will clean the stuff off, along with anything else that might be there. After that I would continue to clean the shower and faucets with vinegar and baking soda. Make a paste with the baking soda and water, rub it on the area, put vinegar on your sponge and wipe. You will need to rinse a couple of times. The vinegar smell will go away in very short time. The combination will foam, don't be alarmed, it's supposed to. That's how it eats away at whatever isn't supposed to be there. It will not harm the fixtures or the finish, it's very gentle, both on you stuff and the environment. I also use this combination once a week on my drains. It keeps them clear, and I use it to clean my toilets.

What is the black film that appears on cookie sheets?
You can't see the black film until you wipe it with a paper towel, and when the film gets on something like a spatula it stays on there. I also believe this black film is on areas of our sink. What is this film and how do you get rid of it? We use a regular electric oven. Thanks.|||Carbon in the form of ash. Food has been burned onto the pan in small amounts. Collect enough of it together and it absorbs light and appears black. Your plastic spatula has small imperfections on its surface that allow the sticky carbon to fit with small amounts of moisture which allows it to stick together.

Why are there not many black policemen? How do we get more black policemen?

What are dry black beans supposed to look like?
I just bought a bag of dry black beans and some of them look kind of wrinkled and the black skin is peeling off. What plants do black moor goldfish like to eat?
I'm going to be getting a black moor and was wondering what kinda of plants they enjoy nibbling on, or what plants that are safe to have in a tank with one. What are the black spots on my succulent plant?
They're not fuzzy or dusty looking, just flat. It looks like someone marked them onto the plant with a black magic marker. They started as small spots but have conglomerated together now and the whole leaf/spear is black. What should I do? The plant came without a label. The leaves are like long dark-green flattened fingers. Thank you for helping.|||Sounds like a fungus. While it normally will not kill the plant it will weaken it and should be treated. Funginex is a fungicide normally used on roses but I have successfully treated succulents and cacti with it. Use the weakest concentration recommended because a lot of succulents do not respond well to being sprayed. I think you have a jade plant ( Crassula ovata ) Don't spray the plant while it is in the sun and keep it out of direct sunlight for a few days. Funginex makes the leaves sensitive for those first few days and they can burn in the sun.
Anything that is black should be cut off - the black portion is not going to recover.

What are the physics concerning black holes?
I have heard two things about black holes:
1. Anything that enters is stretched or forced into a thin paste and comes out in a different universe or something.
2. Anything tat enters is smooshed or compressed and then the remains are pushed out of the sides of the black hole in the form of dust or some kind of matter.
What I want to know, what happens to the remains of something when it goes into a black hole?|||1. You'd get stretched out as you fell in because the gravity of a black hole is so intense that if you fell in feet first, your feet would experience a greater pull than your head. But no, you don't come out in another universe. A black hole isn't an actual hole in space; it doesn't go anywhere. It's just a really dense dead star.

Other than the obvious difference in nationalities and cultures. I don't understand why they look different from Black Americans. If we are all classified as blacks then what truly distinguises us?

How can I get a scanned, drawn outline completely black and white?
I try to make the picture black and white in paint, and it competely screws up. I tried my scanner's black and white options, but it is not completely black and white (the edges close to the black are gray or something). So how can I make the picture/outline, that I hand drew and scanned, black and white? I have Adobe Photoshop Portable that I installed from a friend, but I have no clue on how I can do this. Please help!|||Auto level it then use image/adjustments/threshold. {I've not used "portable". I'm assuming both functions are there.}

What are those black rectangular boxes being installed in the center of the roads?
My coworker says they are doing contruction near Lombard, IL. The are making grooves in the roads for these black boxes which are covered in black rubber. These boxes are being implanted in the center of the road where a median would be. What are these boxes? How much grey primer and black spray paint do I need to paint my bike black?
I am going to use grey prime and black spray paint on my bike with decals and clear lacquer. However, how much of grey primer, black spray paint and clear lacquer will I need. I will appreciate any good suggestions.|||1 can of primer, 3 cans of paint and lacquer. I say 3 cuz you should do 2 coats of each. And you will have some left over for touch ups.|||If you're talking about a bicycle you should be fine with 1 can of each if you're careful. Maybe 2 for the clear if the decals are on the thick side.

The product I have used is for having my plants appear more green and healthy, it does a good job, but I am starting to think it is what is causing this black stuff.|||Sounds like you've picked up a fungus. On the leaves it could be bamboo smut. On the roots, it could be bacterial, especially if it smells bad.
You have to be very careful with fertilizers in closed systems. They can cause more trouble than they correct.

How come most people do not find black women physically attractive?
If I name a hot white girl, plenty of guys of different ethnicities would agree that she is cute.
If I name a hot black girl, it seems like mostly black, Filipino or Hispanic dudes would say she is attractive.Some other guys may say, "cute for a black girl" or they are only interested in light-skinned black girls.|||Im not a racist nor am i ignorant. There are very many pretty black girls but most are not because they obviously resemble primates.|||there is an inaccurate perception that physical beauty is something that is conditioned into the human mind, but in reality, that is not true. Black women's facial features are not always seen as desirable. It is not the result of conditioning to dislike poor people and minorities, because latinas are poor minorities and everybody thinks they are hot. Black men are also often seen as very attractive. It is not racist to say this about black women, it is only an unfortunate reality. Luckily, most women of every race are not that attractive, so there is no reason to feel bad.|||In psych class we studied a theory that people base their perceptions of beauty on what they have seen with their own eyes. Meaning, a person takes all of the faces that they have seen and averages them together; the most average face is the most beautiful.
One can assume therefore, the more types of "different" beauty that people are able to come into contact with, the more their idea of beauty expands.
Black women are underrepresented in the media. This is a fact. As a journalism student, I have taken classes on how ads, television shows, and news reports don't cover all of the bases. It's a shame, but women and people in general, do base their perceptions of beauty on these.
What I don't understand, is how in such a diverse country as ours there can still be such a limited perception of beauty. Chock it up to the fact that a lot of these people are small-minded and haven't escaped much from their social circles (maybe they haven't even traveled much geographically). They're not used to people that are different from them, and therefore, they won't like them. Their loss.|||it is seen as taboo to find black women attractive

What kind of black or green tea to use when making pearl milk tea?
Hi, thanks for taking the time. I'd just like to know what brands of black tea or jasmine green tea is strong enough because i use Lipton and it's no where near strong enough. Does the black tea need to be made with tea leaves or something similar? Oh and this is a secondary question that I'm just curious about; how do the pearl milk tea shops make such strong tea in such a big quantity? That must cost a lot of money. Thanks once again.|||don't use lipton, because it's a weak tea. one teaspoon of tea inside a teabag isn't gonna do it if you want a strong tea.
if you want strong tea, you need to buy loose black tea, preferably assam (english breakfast), or a assam/ceylon mix (british afternoon tea). you can buy black tea in an asian supermarket too. they also have lots of green tea like jasmine, and oolong. for green, i would get a simple green, not jasmine unless you want it. for a roasted flavor, i would get ti kuan yin which is a darker roast of oolong.
if you don't have an asian supermarket near you, look for an indian supermarket. indian supermarkets should have one of the ctc teas like brooke bond red label, or lipton yellow label. ctc ("crush tear curl") teas are dirt cheap, but delivery 5x the flavor, it's like the crack of the tea world, it's the tea that chai masala is made from.
the last case scenario is to look at your gourmet market, or at least whole foods market. and look for yorkshire tea, it will be expensive, but the tea bags are large and make a very strong and tasty tea.
as for tea shops makign tea. tea leaves can be cheap depending on the grade they use. 1st grade tea (for drinking tea, not bubble tea) can cost upwards of hundreds of dollars a pound, but bubble tea places usually buy the cheap stuff, or blends to smoothen out the flavor. they don't use tea bags.|||Green tea appears to speed up calorie burning, including fat calorie burning. The green tea extract may play a role in the control of body composition.

So im just wondering what colors dont clash with black... Like i own about 40 pairs of black pants and will normally just wear a black shirt with it or a white shirt with a sweater or something :/ but what color shirts dont clash with black pants?|||I would say pretty much any color. Can I dye black twill pants to cover up the bleach stains?
I have bleach stains on two of my cotton twill pants. Both are all black. Will black Rit Dye cover up the bleach spots? The spots are golden in color. And can I dye two pants and a sweater in one load?|||OMG I hate it when that happens----go get a black "laundry marker" (Sharpie--must say laundry marker!), hit the bleach stains with that, THEN get MUCHO BLACK RIT DYE (more than the bottle/box says) and then do the full dye-job---add the salt, hot water, etc. and make sure you watch the washing machine timer so it can go DOUBLE the time for dye-ing!

What wall color goes with black bedding and black curtains?
I am repainting my bedroom. I have black curtains and black comforter and sheets on my bed. I was just wondering what a good wall color would be. I was thinking sea foam green, but I have no idea. Please help!|||Depending on your style and the look you're trying to acheive you could go in many directions. Keeping it simple,you could go taupe walls and have an accent color like red. Or if you are more daring you could even go deep red with an accent color like gold or pink with a green accent. I would have fun with it. Remember you can always repaint if you don't like the result. Bonus: paint is cheap!|||Black and white with gold accents is very chic, sophisticated, and classy.
Black and pink or black and a bright aqua is very retro (think 50s).

What are the black fragments that appeared after hydrochloric acid was added to zinc in a test tube?
We did a lab in chemistry class today and one of the steps included adding hydrochloric acid to a piece of zinc in a test tube. There were some black fragments at the bottom of the test tube after the reaction occurred (we also held an ember to the mouth of the tube and it began smoking too). So what are those black pieces exactly...? Thanks ^_^.|||If your zinc and hydrochloric acid were reasonably pure there shouldn't be any black fragments left over when the reaction is complete.
However, since you mention the ember, it seems likely that some of the burnt ember fell into your test tube, in which case the black fragments are mostly carbon.

I need to know what the black piece on the air conditiong lever is. I was told the thing that moves the temperature for the air conditioning is called a lever but there is a black piece on it and I need ot find out what it's called and where I can get it if possible. How To Remove Black Borders in Final Rendering of Sony Vegas 9?
Every time I render a movie in highest 720p HD I end up with black borders on the side. I've seen many other without black borders, and I've tried tutorials but they haven't helped.

Check that box. This will take away the black boarder.

How do you solve a black and white photocopy problem with my Epson DX4050 printer?
I have an epson DX4050. I currently have a full blank ink cartridge but have one empty colour catridge and 2 other colour catridges which are running low. I want to photocopy a peice of document in black and white only but every time I press the "Start B %26amp; W" (start black and white) button on my printer, nothing happens. What do I need to do to be able to photocopy my documents in black and white.|||If your printer is displaying an error because of the out of ink cartridge, then you're going to have to replace it before the printer will do anything. This is a design of the printer for the benefit of the manufacturer so that you buy more ink. This is where they make their money so they disable the printer if any ink is out, even if you're not going to use that color, to force you to buy more ink before it will work again.

What is the black coating on the back of a throttle body?
I cleaned the throttle body of my car with carb cleaner not knowing the adverse effects it would have on the black coating on the back of the throttle body. I want to replace the black coating so my car will idle correctly. Does anyone know what that coating is made out of?
Thanks!|||are you talking about the plate thats in side of the throttle body, the one that opens up to let air into your engine? if so then that black stuff is carbon build up and should be cleaned off. but i dont know if i would have used carb cleaner down that far, chances are you got some of the cleaner down in the engine and its trying to burn it off, which is normal. just let it run for a bit.also it might blow some smoke, which would be ok.
