What are dry black beans supposed to look like?

I just bought a bag of dry black beans and some of them look kind of wrinkled and the black skin is peeling off. Are they supposed to look like that or did I get a bad bag?|||They are suppose to be black beans. They shouldnt be wrinkled %26amp; the skin shouldnt be peeling off. They are old. If you to try to cook them they will take FOREVER which is not worth the time and effort. Throw them away %26amp; buy another bag with skins intact %26amp; not wrinkled.Good luck!|||If they are wrinkly or peeling, you probably got an older bag. But they aren't "bad", just old. Soak them for a couple of days before using instead of just overnight, and they will be fine.

Bon appetit!|||are of medium size, and slightly squarish in shape. They are a matte black or a very deep purple, with a small white line on the ridge; but the inside is creamy white. The flavour has a hint of mushrooms and are favoured throughout Latin America, South and Central America, and the Caribbean, where they originally grew as New World beans. They are the basis for Brazil's weekly traditional dish called feijoada and the Cuban black bean soup. All black beans are considered to be closely related to the kidney bean, and turn purplish when cooked.|||They look like pinto beans only they are a little smaller and they are black.|||the beans are supposed to either jump out and stick you up with a glock, or come out with a mic and rap to you. You probably got a bad bag, check the experation date.
