What plants do black moor goldfish like to eat?

I'm going to be getting a black moor and was wondering what kinda of plants they enjoy nibbling on, or what plants that are safe to have in a tank with one. If you also have any advice on owning a Black Moor that would be great too.|||Gobble on is more their style. Duckweed and Najas graminea are two aquatic plants that you can grow quickly and are part of their natural diet.Grow them in another container with water from the goldfish tank for its plant nutrients, and then add some of the plantsto the goldfish tank as needed.

The black moor will probably eat blanched zucchini pucks, the halves of frozen peas that you pinch out of the shell, canned French cut green beans (French cut are easier for the goldfish to get hold of), romaine lettuce. and cooked oatmeal. Cooked oatmeal can be used to feed other foods as well. Mix in a jar of a meat baby food and add some unflavored Knox gelatin so that the oatmeal will hold together underwater.

Floating hornwort, Java moss, and Java fern are tough enough to withstand most of the abuse goldfish give plants. They usually can't get hold of the hornwort to harm it and the other two apparently taste bad to fish.

A 29 gallon tank is a minimum size for one. You do not need a heater, and they appreciate a "cool season" for a few months of the year in the winter. The best filter for a goldfish is a wet/dry with trays. It goes under the tank and you rinse or replace one tray of filter media at a time. Never all at once! Goldfish also need a supplemental filter and a fluidized bed filter is great for that. Return water should be aimed across the surface or two returns should face each other to cancel out strong linear flow.

Live daphnia once a week will prevent the intestinal gasses called swim bladder disease, a big killer of goldfish in the aquarium. It can even cure it if offered in the early stages while the fish is still eating. If you order live daphnia and/or duckweed, Trickers below accepts standing orders and they give the most generous proportions of daphnia for the money of anyone I've tried.
