For a costume I want to make my skin look black. I have white skin and am wondering what type of make up or paint or whatever I need to make it look like I really have black skin. What type of make up was used on that one show "Black. White" where a white family and black family switched races by make up? This is the type of effect I am looking for. Thanks for any help!|||There are several shades of black used on stage. Max Factor is what was used in a production I served in. (Finian's Rainbow)
It does not wash off easily, and true blacks not involved in the "show" might well find it patronizing and be offended.|||look
this way i used to do it when i was acting at my school (lol)

How does the colors black and pink in your room affect your mood?
I want the colours black and pink in my room. Some people say it effects you mood.
Does black and pink?
and if it does what mood does it put you in?|||I recently saw a pink and black room in a magazine. It looked very classy and sexy. I would def. use a lighter pink and make sure you have black furniture or else it will all clash. Reminds me of Victoria's Secret.|||black makes me feel more less active were as brighter colours like pink would make me feel more vibrunt and urge me to do more :)

Will black people start to grow natural curly hair to show their connection with Africa?
Now that they are giving themselves African names I suppose the next step should be to stop straightening their hair - which they are doing to look more white. I'm not saying it's good or bad, I was just thinking it would logically be the next step, so I'm wondering whether black people have already started doing it.|||Yes they straighten their hair I don't blame them...|||The reason behind the "relaxing" of hair, which if you ignorance permitted you to consider, is much less socially sensitive or as sardonically oppressive as you assume. Natural afros are difficult to maintain. That is the most basic reason behind hair straightening. I wouldn't see why black individuals would need to go out of their way to show their natural connection to Africa in a society that is very aware of the origins of the black Westerner and is very quick to remind the black community, as you so clearly do. Use your common sense and think some things through before publishing such drone like nonsense|||Funny statement. Black people in Africa straighten their hair too, particularly in countries where there's a strong western / American influence. I think it's also because of this belief that if your hair will grow better if it's straightened.
But ultimately it's really more of a lifestyle choice. Some people, the brainwashed ones, do it for the wrong reasons and some people do it because they find it easier or whatever. It's no different from a white person dying their hair; it's a lifestyle choice. The focus should be on having HEALTHY hair. Which can be hard if you're relaxed.
And yeh, I think going natural doesn't really show a connection to Africa. It seems more of an acceptance of who you really are: curly hair and all.|||I know a lot of Black women with natural hair. Theres even one girl at my school who is 100% natural with a huge afro, and she wears really cute clothes too and is pretty, so she's like a fashion icon on a lower level, lol. For me, my hair is weird, its wavy, but kind of afro-y... but not... and it has a bunch of textures, so its better that I straghten it, and then wave it or something. I prefer wavy hair or curly hair like most Black women have. Straight hair is borning.|||Women style their hair. White women with straight hair curl their hair. Black Women with curly hair straighten their hair. No one is trying to emulate the other. Its style. Now, I wear my hair natural for the most part unless I want a change. You must not get out much because I see a lot of black women keeping it real. I wear my hair natural not because I want a connection to my African roots, hair or an African name won't do that for me. I wear it because it is me, a part of my image, my crowning glory.|||I straighten my hair but its never to look white. I just like the look on me. I love my skin tone and would wish to be nothing but who I am. Straightening my hair has nothing to do with be white seeing as white ppl also have to use blow dryer and/or flat irons to straighten their hair too.

And some people wear it natural only because it's a lot healthier than straightening in repeatedly.|||Im black my hair is naturally curly.
most black people i know dont try and act white, they really dont care what anyone thinks, but they do keep there hair cut low but they do not do perms|||I always leave my hair curly because its prettier that way...not all African straighten their hair for that reason anyway, maybe they just want a new look like anyone else.|||Asians and native Americans have straighter hair than white people you... asinine you....|||GO EAT SOME MAYONNAISE!|||Everybody wants to be white

How do you explain a hetero black woman, has female black friends, but prefers to date outside of her race?

How do you get black algae off the fish tank?
I tried my trusty algae scrubby, and it doesn't work.
Is there a secret to it?
I've never had black algae before... I've never HEARD of black algae before.
What causes it?|||Black algae is just a different kind of hair algae... and it's considerably more persistent. If it's on the glass, try using an old credit card, razor blade, or ice scraper to remove it, and then siphon it out. If it is on a decoration, remove it and do an overnight bleach soak. Let the decorations dry for at least 24 hours so the bleach can dissipate (the chlorine in NaClO will diffuse into chlorine gas in the air). To prevent it, you'll need to keep your nitrates and phosphates down with water changes (if there are nitrates and phosphates in your tap water, use RO water), and consider reducing your lighting (especially if you don't have live plants). Consdier getting some fast growing plants like Water Sprite and Hornwort to at least slow (if not halt) its growth, as they will quickly outcompete it for nutrients.
If you have a fairly large tank, you could try Siamese Algae Eaters, but I have found mine to much prefer any frozen food I give it (it is particularly fond of brine shrimp). Also, I have heard recommendations of adding Flourish Excel, but this is only applicable if you have live plants. The carbon source will allow the plants to use nutrients more efficiently, again, outcompeting the algae.
EDIT: Snails won't touch the stuff, nor will they do anything for other kinds of hair algae. You could try turing off anything that creates current in your tank, then squirting 5 mL of hydrogen peroxide directly onto the afflicted areas (no more than a couple of 5 mL doses per 10 gallons every couple of days), but this is very dangerous for fish if they swim through the peroxide cloud.
EDIT 2: While some fish may mouth it (in search of real food), Clowns and Catfish will definitely not eat it (intentionally)... Silver Dollars might pick at it a bit, but they certainly won't be an effective means of controlling it.|||i have it growing on my decorations and i think it looks cool but i have alot of current in my tank so it sways and adds character to my tank, as for it growing on the glass use a car ice scraper, works for me. also i see my clown loaches, silver dollar, and my little catfish nibbling at it all the time so its probably good.|||to help with that, clean it off first, then change the water,,if anything,,never leave the light on, only during feeding, and maybe a hour or so after that...|||get some snails... i think they will work..

How do I make a picture black and white with color in it?
If you look on myspace, you can see lots of pictures that are black and white. There are also pictures that are black and white with a shirt or their eyes in color instead of being in black and white. How in the world do you do that?|||Here is the easiest way I know how to do it.
In Photoshop:
1.Import your color image
2. Make a duplicate background layer
3. Turn the layer to black and white (or grayscale)
4. Use the eraser tool and erase the parts you want to be in color
That's it!|||1. Open photo (using photo editing software such as Photoshop)
2. Duplicate background layer
3. Desaturate top layer into B%26amp;W
4. Erase top layer (eraser tool) to show the lower layer
If you want to use different colors continue steps below -
5. Select background layer
6. Open up Hue / Saturation
7. Choose colorize
8. Play with sliders to produce the color you want.|||in photoshop use the polygonal lasso tool (there are other tools but that's my persaonal fav) to select the objects you want to remain colored. if there's more than one object hold shift to add to the selection. repeat until all desired parts are selected. then click select%26gt;select inverse. this selects everything but the objects you want to remain colored. next click image%26gt;adjustments%26gt;hue/saturation and drag the saturation slider all the way down to -100. and boom! you have your image.

Can you paint over black urethane primer and make it shiny?
You know how primer goes on a car first then the real (good) paint goes on. Well if black urethane primer is called primer then can you put a gloss on it or what ever to make it a nice black.|||Since your painting it black already and not a light color it will be very nice and glossy. What is an all black duck/goose with red eyes?
I live in Oregon, and I have seen this kind of duck twice now. It is small/medium sized, with a narrow bill (that comes to a pointed curve). How do I get rid of black gunk in my drains?
In all my drains in my house, there is this black slime nastiness accumulating on the inside. Is it mildew? I scrub the black off the inside of the drain plugs with a toothbrush and it comes up. Two weeks later when I go to clean it again, more black has 'grown' in. It also forms on the drain holes in my shower. My house is only 4 years old. Unfortunately, I cannot remove my drain plugs from my sink, at least I don't know how.|||There is nothing you can do about the black slime. I forget what it is called (has a fancy scientific name) but it is basically a fairly safe bacterial slurry. It feeds off of some of the ingredients in soap and organic matter. If you ever open up a pump pit that pumps strictly laundry water there are usually massive amounts of the stuff. Hard to wash off skin too. May not have to embrace it but living with it you will have to do.|||I use Bam Bathroom Cleaner,it not only cleans tubs, sinks, and tolilets, but you can also pour it down the drains and it keeps them clean and unclogged.|||Use a bottle brush.

What if Pacquiao was a black guy, would he be the favorite son among African Americans over Mayweather?
Pacquiao defied the odds by being a non-Hispanic, non-black fighter to be recognized universally as the best fighter in the world. However, there are many radical racially motivated people who criticize him for beating Hispanic fighters and avoiding black fighters. What would happen if Pacquiao fit in that majority category, given to the fact that the white people of boxing are Hispanics and blacks, while Asians and others are the minority.|||An analogy...
If you MUST vote but don't follow politics and you were white...you would probably vote for McCain...on the other side of the "ying-yang'"
If you were black , you would probably vote for Obama......
However, if you knew a lot about politics...then you would "weigh" the difference and choose the best candidate for the job at hand...
To answer your question...
If you chose 100 blacks that were not exactly loyal boxing fans...I think they would choose PBF...
But 100 blacks that are loyal boxing fans...I think they would pick Manny over PBF...
So I guess it depends on whether they are boxing fans or not....and not by their race.....|||I think I should point out Klitschko is also considered the best in the world and is also not hispanic or black.
|||For those who say that Pacquiao avoided black fighters, watch early in his career, when he was campaigning at the 122lbs. division. he fought south african fighter, Lehlohonolo Ledwaba, Dominican Republic, Agapito Sanchez and Colombian, Jorge Julio.
Those are three former world champions. They are not necessarily, exactly black american fighters but fights like them. It is unfortunate to some of those critics, that currently in the lower weight class the biggest names are hispanics and asians. And Pacquiao being the best fighter right now, of course, will choose the biggest names out there, that's how it works in boxing..
In fact, Manny is willingly open to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr., but floyd decided to fight JM Marquez instead, so it's not Manny's fault.
Regarding if Pacquiao was a black fighter, i think he will share the popularity, but slightly more popular than mayweather because of his boxing style, exciting and aggressive. That how it goes with some countries.
And here in Philippines, the most popular are Donaire and Pacquiao than Gorres and Penalosa because they are more exciting fighters.|||First of all, Pac never avoided black fighters. As he's always said, he'll fight whoever his promoter brings on the table, and that's what he's been doing all along. Manny is basically a very nice fellow. He's not one to call out names and talk trash. For him, boxing is purely a job that gives him livelihood and the opportunity to bring honor to his country, the Philippines. As long as the "price is right", as he'd usually say, he'll get in the ring with anyone - Hispanic, Black or Asian.
Now, to answer your question, I think Pacquiao transcends race or skin color. Just like Ali, he's at home wherever he fights because he knows there will be people rooting for him. If he fights Floyd Jr., most Americans, whether black or white, will support their own, that is, Mayweather. But there are some Americans out there who'll root for Manny too due to his great skill and his humility. It is a known fact now that Pac has developed friendships with some known American athletes, actors and even politicians. The guy is just awesome.|||I think he wouldn't be as popular if he was Black. There have been so many great black fighters and champions already. He would just be another of them. But the fact that he is Filipino makes him so much more popular. There's simply never been one. He has a whole nation behind him. If he was Black, would Africa be behind him the way the Philippines are behind Pacquiao? I don't think so.|||IN GENERAL, most AAs act *********. As a fight fan, I can give Floyd credit ONLY for his talent and some for his accomplishments. I feel he has avoided the best in his division and claims greatness with no base. My opinion will change if he actually fights some of the best, regardless to whether or not he beats them.
By contrast, Manny gives MORE reasons to admire him. He has done a Tremendous service to his country and his people. There are many foreign fighters who come to the US and forget home. Manny as accomplished more than nearly all of them, yet he never forgot home.
I have been to the Philippines a few times and I was there after the second Morales fight. I have seen what Manny does for people back home. Floyd couldn't do that for Blacks because there are so many other Blacks who have accomplished more. Plus, he has already proven that he's in the sport for money only.
It's not a bad thing because, siyempre, he should not fight for free. However, it's hard to be proud of such a self-centered person. Personally, I like Shane Mosley better.

What is the best blue black hair color to put over black hair?
I was just wondering if it is possible to die black hair blue black. I have used manic panic before on my natural black hair, but only when it was bleached. The bleaching seriously damaged my hair and dried out my scalp. So, i dont want to bleach my black hair again, but I love the look of blue black hair. What's the best blue black hair dye that sticks to black hair and gives it an obvious blue tint?|||go to a salon supply store and get a blue enhancer for ur hair and u do not have to bleach it...it will only give it a bluish tint that u want and only use a 10 volume peroxide it works|||Probably try Indigo. It's a plant extract, and you can get it from most natural product stores (anywhere you would find henna). It's a natural product to stain your hair black, and it might take some experimenting, but an indigo rinse or a very short treatment with indigo would probably give your hair a blue sheen to it.
Just remember that if you want to bleach it again after you should talk to a stylist who knows henna first, since many chemicals will interact with it and you probably don't want to get swamp green hair from the bleach. =)|||Stick with a salon stylist who uses TIGI hair color, its the best and worth it.

How did this white woman + black man relations trend start ? and why is the vice versa less common ?
It would be easy to say this is just breaking barriers. But its not that simple.
In my community i don't notice many black women and white men dating. However every so often I come accross a couple of a white woman and a black man.
In fact, very often, its the most notorious guy in the neighbourhood that has a white girlfriend.
Why ?
Why is a relation of a white woman and a black man, more common than vice versa ?|||Black man/white woman is more common for a lot of reasons:
-Black men are probably the most aggressive I've seen as far as pursuing who they are interested in, white women probably second. Black women are among the least aggressive, and part of that is just being socialized as women that men should approach women. I see a lot of black women interested in men, including white guys, but they insist the guy has to come to them. Less white women do this, and this has largely become more of a cultural difference than a gender difference. With white men not being as aggressive as black men or white women, combined with the extra racial issues when a white guy is interested in a black woman (not even just racism, but more like "whoa, how do I approach a black woman??" or "I heard black women only like black men...I'll probably get rejected"), that leaves a lot of black women waiting forever and ever for an approach that is not forthcoming
-Like some others have suggested, black men view white women as a prize and a step up in society. Black women don't view white men quite the same way, usually. You say the most "notorious" guy usually has a white girlfriend. My observation has actually been that the more money a black guy has or obviously will have some day, the more you can just about bank on his having a white, Asian or Latina female on his arm. With other black guys, you might see them in interracial relationships, but it seems less likely just because--and this might seem offensive, but--the average white woman cares about money in a man a little too much to be dating guys, especially a black one, who doesn't have much and because black guys with less money tend to be in predominantly black environments (making it more likely he'll get with a black female) more than black guys with money.
If you don't believe me, sit and take account of black male celebrities (including athletes) who have non-black girlfriends or wives and ones who actually have a black woman. With these black guys, having a non-black female is another sign he has "made it" in America--honestly, the same is true for Asians and Latinos. And even if a black guy starts out with a black woman, if he has money or once he gets it, you can bet he'll either leave for a non-black woman or he's going to have an affair with one (or more). I'm waiting on Obama's @ss to do it, haha. As far as what I said about white women and money, again, it's just a cultural difference. White girls are more often taught growing up to find someone "who can take care of them." Black women are not taught that, on average.
I'm not sure how to explain why the same is not true for black women, i.e. the prize/step up thing. Some of it might be history, some of it just the difference between how men value mates and how women do, some of it being how women experience more crap in society regardless of race. In terms of history, when we hear about all the bad things that happen, black women notice it's usually a white man behind it...including things like slavery and raping black female workers. As far as values...very hard to explain, but one thing is that men have always emphasized (lighter) skin color in preferencing people; women do it less, it seems, and look at more practical things in mates. Discrimination--women tend to want someone whom they feel can relate to them and understand them. The average black female doesn't feel white men can do that because there is a huge privilege/life experiences gap there. The gap is smaller between black men and white women--both experience discrimination to the point where it's the norm in their lives, so white women can empathize with and somewhat compare to black men.|||Black men think of it as a power thing ... they gonna get themselves a white girl . Usually they wind up with a red headed overweight girl they drive around town with in their cutlass supreme, but that's beside the point.
White men usually don't want to disappoint their Mothers and plus they don't like loud aggressive women.
Usually the good looking white girls that are with blacks are mad at Daddy and this is their revenge.
See...? Easy to explain.|||Does it really matter when or how it began? People get involved because of proximity, attraction, need, accessibility, for financial or sexual reasons, etc.

I also noticed that the black guys usually only get that ugly fat white girl who probably has low self esteem because no white guy wants her so she settles for a black guy and the black guy is just happy that she is WHITE! thats all it takes.|||well the first interracial marriage happened between a black woman and white man. What is the black that runs along the bottom of raw prawns? I know the top line is digestive tract?
I am preparing fresh prawns and I am familiar with removing the digestive tract that runs along the back or top of prawns. However there is a black line that runs along the bottom of the prawns I have bought. I am wondering what this black line is and whether that needs removing as well or not?|||not really sure what it is, but it's safe to eat, so no worries. make sure to wear gloves while cleaning them! they are covered in bacteria!
What good/great black quarterbacks do you rate higher than a good white quarterback?
Seems like it to me that Black Quarterbacks never get the respect they deserve, or am I wrong? Are their really like next to no good ones in your opinion? I think Michael Vick is one of the best black quarterbacks ever!|||Warren Moon was arguably the best black quarterback and he pales (no pun intended) in comparison to most white quarterbacks,. Part of that is because is because black QBs are more athletic and, therefore, are not the pure passes white QBs are and part of it is because black quarterbacks are routinely shifted to other positions at the NFL level.
Vick is an terrific example of an athletic player who lacks the intelligence to play quarterback. He got hot early in the year but his production dropped markedly as the season wore on because defenses were able to make adjustments to stop him and he wasn't smart enough to counter those adjustments.|||If you count Vick as one of the best black QB's ever that says something becuase he is garbage. Plain and simple.
Warren Moon is the best Black QB of all time and i would rank him in the top 10 QB's of all time.
Randall Cuningham was another good one.
Doug Williams was nothing special but is the only black QB to win a SB.
Historically blacks have been used at positions like RB and WR more then QB. Sure the ability to run is a great asset but not a key attribute needed to be a effective QB. Look at Steve Young he could move around but was a pass first guy. The QB's job is to throw the ball and make plays with his arm first and his legs second. Vick looks to make things happen with his legs. He wont ever be elite QB until he learns to be like Manning, Brady or Brees and pass first.|||Well, if you must put a label on things.
Doug Williams
Warren Moon
Randal Cunningham
were denitely the best ever, when you combine athletic skills, passing skill, and intelligence. True they never got the same respect, even though Williams played maybe one of the best games for a QB in the Superbowl.
D. Mcnabb, still has odd colapses for a veteren QB.
M. Vick is getting there and I think next year, he will join the elite group.|||let me start with your an idiot. well for one theres a lot more white quarterbacks than black quarterbacks so that might have something to do with it. Michael Vick is bomb. Warren Moon was good. Its just that there arent the numbers so obviously theres gonna be more good white quarterbacks than black. If there were a lot of black quarterbacks it would be different.|||they do get what they deserve. vick is currently the only good black quarter back and he gets plenty of respect. the rest are bad and so they accordingly get no respect.|||That's racist!|||Before the nine good games Vick played this year, he was a below average QB.
Marc De la cruz -
Doug Williams was a pure drop back passer and is not considered a premier NFL QB.|||Doug Williams and Warren Moon were both better than Michael Vick.|||Donovan McNabb %26gt; Rex Grossman
Try telling Shanahan......|||I think Culpepper in his prime was the best black qb ever. But I would give the nod to Moon.|||honestly i cant figure out what your question/rant is asking...michale vick IS one of the best BLACK QB's ever--hell, you could've even left out the word BLACK and still got your point across|||Warren Moon.|||If Warren Moon spent his whole career in the NFL we might not be having this conversation.|||warren moon and michael vick and VINCE YOUNG! be
Vick is an terrific example of an athletic player who lacks the intelligence to play quarterback.
