How has the black man been able to succeed so much economically and socially despite the racism?

The black man has endured slavery, beatings, humiliation, betrayal, etc from the white man and from his own black brethren too. However, today, he's in the White House, and is doing MANY other great things too. Despite all the tribulations, he's stayed strong. What has enabled him to do well, sometimes even surpassing the white man? How can we help the black man to go even further? Will the black man be the future of tomorrow?|||One of the most powerful things in this world is an educated black men, it defies the stereotypes of the wannabe thug or gangsta.





He can stand toe to toe with any other man and speak with knowledge and confidence about the world we live in.





Look at Dr. King, look at Malcolm X, very different, but both very brilliant black men that exude charisma and knowledge.





As a black man I pride myself on being able to open my mouth and speak with conviction, eloquence and poignancy to those around me.|||I can't wait for the insecure, semi-retarded comments to start flowing in. Its amazing thinking about it really.





Black people used to lean on each other for support. We used to have each others backs. Black men were the pillars and their women, the support system. Things aren't like that anymore but when black people used to put value in pride and togetherness we were unstoppable but we lost ourselves along the way in America. We need to discuss. We have SO many problems within the black communities. So many problems outside the black community. Many are brainwashed, white washed, whatever the hell you want to call it. They want out whether that be by riding the @ss of a non-black woman and leaving the community or using the streets the only way they know how. We need to stop the foolishness. I'm tired of everyone and their idealistic thoughts. We need realism. We need to speak the truth to each other. Its the only way we can progress, b/ca w/o it, we will only suffer more decadence with in the communities. I don't know who you are or what your goal is in starting this topic up but there are still some obstacles we need to remove so we can get EVERYONE up to speed.|||The white man has also endured slavery. The Irish slaves(NOT "indentured servants") were treated like crap. men, women, and many Irish children were brought as slaves. Their country was torn apart. They were killed, raped, etc. More than 1000 Irish slaves were DUMPED into the Atlantic ocean, because the crew wanted a plentiful amount of food to eat.



The black man has ALSO been the slave OWNER. Many free blacks in the South had slaves themselves, especially in South Carolina and Louisianna. Many people don't want you to know that, but you can google it yourself. Just search "Black slaveowners" and it's right there.



In fact, the white people were the ones who BOUGHT most of their slaves FROM the Africans who were selling their OWN people. Yes, that's right, your people SOLD YOU out and treated you hostile too.

First off, not all Blacks are born into poverty. So, it's way easier for a Black person to succeed when they're in the middle class. There's also a couple of Blacks who manage to escape from poverty and make some kind of successful living.





Secondly, Obama's also half White and not 100% Black. Sadly, he's pretty much become the b*tch of the government and the upper class. Where's that man's balls?
