Why do Black Americans and Black Latinos often look so different when they have similar backgrounds?

Black Americans are generally a mix of African, White/European and Native American. And Black Latinos are a mix of African, Spanish/European and the indigenous groups that are native to the various Latin American countries. So Black Americans and Black Latinos have very similar mixtures.

Then why are Black Latinos often visibly different from Black Americans? Black Latinos often have straighter hair and warmer (not necessarily darker) skin tones.|||Because most likely Black Latinos have spanish influences and Black Americans dont have spanish influences unless they are creoles or something.|||Something as simple as Native American and Taino Indian affects genetics.
